Mums to Be
Just discovered that you are pregnant? CONGRATULATIONS!
Diet and Exercise:
As we all know that following a healthy diet containing fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and drinking lots of water is important but it is even more important now that you are expecting the patter of tiny feet. It is vitally important that you do take care when eating foods such as seafood and some dairy products (ie paté) so please ask your doctor and midwife for guidance on what to eat and about gentle exercise. When I was expecting my son, I used to walk down the street with a carton of fruit salad and a big bottle of water!
Do stay away from recreational drugs, cigarettes and alcohol as this can have a long term effect on your child as well as your health. If you need help with giving up any of these then please speak to your GP as soon as your pregnancy is confirmed.
What to expect now you're expecting:
You may already have morning sickness, tired or constantly going to the bathroom or you may just be feeling like your normal self. I would recommend that you go to the library and take a look at all the pregnancy books available without having to spend any money.
